Nabatieh Supports South's Resilience After Budget Approval
Following the approval of the 2027 budget and in response to street demands within financial limits, the Lebanese government is striving to strengthen financial stability amid pressure from the International Monetary Fund, which emphasizes the necessity of implementing key economic reforms, restructuring the banking sector, and addressing the financial gap. While President Josaph Aoun responded to the banking regulation law, considering some of its provisions to be in conflict with the Currency and Credit Law, the Fund expressed concern over the presidential dispute, which could impact international community support for Lebanon. The government continues its efforts with the international community, including discussions with French and American delegations, to complete reforms and reach an agreement that will help rebuild the Lebanese economy.
