Greetings from the south as state presence grows
Prime Minister Nawar Salameh continues to demonstrate his active presence on the ground in southern Lebanon, particularly through his frequent visits to towns such as Nabatieh. These efforts aim to provide direct support to citizens and to emphasize that the south is not a marginal issue on the government's agenda. His visits include inspecting institutions, monitoring reconstruction efforts, and engaging with local residents. Additionally, he has launched 23 tenders to strengthen infrastructure and deliver essential services, such as repairing roads, upgrading shelter facilities, and providing medical equipment and ambulances. These initiatives underscore the state's reinforced presence in the region, redefining the relationship between the south and the government, and focusing on the government's responsibility to address damages and achieve stability — all while remaining independent of local political influence.
