Israel restarts Sufa 53 in Quneitra
The Israeli occupation forces are resuming the "Sufa 53" project in the southern countryside of Quneitra within Syrian territory. Construction and road excavation activities have begun, involving the creation of a military path approximately 8 meters wide, surrounded by earthen barriers up to 5 meters high. Observation points are also being established along the route extending along the occupied Golan Heights. The project, which began implementation in 2022 and aims to enhance military control and make field modifications, resumed activity by Israel at the end of 2024 following the collapse of the previous regime in the area. Its goal is to expand its influence within Syrian territory.
