Flydubai Co-pilot Visited Israel
The Wall Street Journal reported that Omani airline co-pilot Hmam Al-Hammami traveled several times to Tel Aviv as a pilot and conspired with Fly Dubai to operate flights to Israel. He allegedly planned to crash a Fly Dubai aircraft at Ben Gurion Airport during his interrogation in the UAE. Israeli authorities investigated the attempt to plot a terrorist attack against the flight, and it is believed that Al-Hammami acted alone. An investigation has been opened to determine his motives and whether they were linked to terrorist activity or not.
