He led a meeting on nearby landfill demands
Prime Minister Dr. Nawaq Salaam chaired a meeting at the Grand Serail to discuss the demands of the municipalities neighboring the Sarar landfill, in the presence of Environment Minister Tamara Zain and a number of local officials and parliamentarians. The meeting emphasized that the Sarar landfill is exclusively designated for waste from the Akkar region, and there was a firm rejection of any waste transfer from outside the area. Salaam instructed the implementation of promises to meet the municipalities' demands, assigning the Higher Relief Agency, along with the Ministries of Interior, Environment, and the Development and Reconstruction Council, to work directly on this, in response to the legitimate and agreed-upon demands.
