Dollar rebounds before Fed minutes
The US dollar retreated after a temporary rise as the market prepares to review the Federal Reserve's September meeting minutes, which are expected to inform decisions regarding interest rate hikes. Recent US economic data, such as consumer spending and employment figures, came in below expectations, reducing pressure to raise interest rates. Meanwhile, other currencies like the euro and yen also declined against the dollar, while the dollar benefited from safe-haven demand amid rising tensions in Yemen and warnings from Iran about nuclear enrichment activities.
