Israel marks third anniversary of Hamas attack
Israel's commemoration of the third anniversary of Hamas's attack on October 7, 2023, comes amid heightened security preparations ahead of the legislative elections. It is recalled that the attack resulted in the death of over 300 people when Hamas militants stormed the Nova Music Festival, marking the deadliest day in Israel's history. Coinciding with this anniversary, political figures and the families of victims were invited to participate in a ceremony to honor their memory, while calls for an independent investigation into security failures from three years ago continue. The event was attended by political candidates and international figures, amid an Israeli escalation against Hamas and a series of security efforts to ensure readiness for any potential attacks before the elections.
