Hezbollah faces ongoing financial pressure
The U.S. State Department confirmed that Hezbollah will not succeed in recovering under the Trump administration and continues to impose sanctions to cut off its financial resources. The department denied reports of Iran sending $200 million to the group, stating that Hezbollah is promoting a false narrative of Iranian funds flowing in order to save face. It accused Hezbollah of igniting a war on behalf of Iran and causing billions of dollars in damages to Lebanon. Meanwhile, Washington will continue to support efforts to rebuild southern Lebanon. Additionally, it noted that the Iranian regime is experiencing a state of anxiety due to the sanctions imposed on its oil exports.
