Yemen Government Captures Bab al-Mandab and Myun Island
The Yemeni army, supported by the Arab coalition, achieved significant victories in Operation "Fajr Yemen," successfully cleaning the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, Mion Island, and the surrounding highlands of Houthi control. The forces solidified their control over the strait, the Al-Oraydi camp, and Coast Guard observation points, while launching a surprise flanking maneuver that resulted in the death of dozens of Houthis and the surrender of others. The operation also strengthened the government's gains on the western coast and secured control over key strategic areas.
