Al-Sadiq Criticizes Parliament's Role in Delay
The article highlights the criticisms of MP Waddah Al-Sadik regarding the weak performance of the Lebanese Parliament, particularly in the telecommunications sector. He condemned the Lebanese Telecommunications Committee's recommendation to halt the licensing of the mobile sector to international companies, noting that neighboring countries continue to develop this sector. He emphasized that Lebanon suffers from decline and backwardness in managing the industry, and that previous contracts have contributed to its collapse. However, he pointed out that there is an opportunity to modernize the sector and generate additional revenue for the state. He clarified that the current policies lack national interest and are dominated by narrow political and partisan interests, which deepens the economic crisis.
