Israeli Incursion in Quneitra and UN Reports on Syria Infiltrations
Israeli occupation forces carried out repeated incursions into the Rif of Quneitra in southern Syria. Recently, a patrol composed of eight vehicles set out from the Tel Amar base toward the Rasem Sand and Al-Haidara villages, conducting raids and searches in the area amid concerns over escalating tensions and their impact on local security. In September 2026, the United Nations documented approximately 280 cases of Israeli infiltration into Syria, marking the highest monthly total since the beginning of the year. These incidents included raids, harassment, and arbitrary detentions, with at least 49 Syrians being detained. These military movements continue to raise alarm within the international community.
