Yemeni army reopens vital Taiz route
The Yemeni government forces recaptured the district center of Al-Masirahh in southern Taiz after fierce battles, managing to liberate the district and thwart hundreds of Houthi attacks. The Houthis had bolstered their fronts with strategic and cross-border weapons, including ballistic missiles and weapons of mass destruction. The fighting also focused on reclaiming vital key roads, especially the route connecting Taiz, Turban, and Lahj, aiming to break the blockade and open humanitarian corridors and supply routes, with support from the Arab coalition and Saudi Arabia. Controlling Al-Masirahh is considered a major step toward regaining control over larger areas, as clashes continue and airstrikes on Houthi gatherings are intensified.
