Pope Leo XIV grants aid to Lebanese students
Pope Leo XIV dedicated scholarships to help Christian families facing difficult circumstances in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, aiming to cover school and university fees for their children. This initiative is part of a pastoral project designed to support the most needy families and reflects the Pope’s concern for those affected by conflicts and instability in the region. The aid will be provided through the Office of Eastern Churches and will include coverage of annual educational expenses for children and adolescents, demonstrating the Church’s closeness to believers suffering from economic hardships.
