Bin Jassem urges Gulf unity for Saudi support

Former Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani has called for a decisive Gulf action to support Saudi Arabia in facing the threats it is confronting from within Yemen, considering that these threats are being orchestrated from outside Yemeni territory. He emphasized the need to move from supportive statements to concrete steps that reflect the unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, especially amid current challenges that threaten regional stability. He pointed out that Saudi Arabia's strength and stability are essential for all Gulf nations, highlighting existential threats facing the Gulf, including risks from Iran, with the possibility of establishing peaceful relations with it. He warned of schemes aimed at undermining the interests of the GCC countries and depleting their resources, reaffirming the importance of strengthening Gulf unity and taking practical steps to emerge from the crisis with greater strength and cohesion.
