Israel approves Gaza weapons collection pilot
A report indicates that Israel allowed an American company working on behalf of the "Peace Council" to enter the Gaza Strip to conduct mapping operations of sites where weapons could be handed over to Hamas, as part of President Trump's peace plan. The plan aims for Hamas to relinquish its weapons before Israel begins withdrawing from areas free of militants, with security guarantees during the handover operations. So far, mechanisms for the weapons transfer or how fighters would move without threatening Israeli forces have not been specified, despite a year passing since the Gaza ceasefire and Israel's daily attacks continuing, even though Hamas's disarmament has not taken place as outlined in Trump's plan.
