Missing persons in drone attack near Oman
Two crew members of the oil tanker "MT Petron Dolfins" were reported missing following a drone attack off the coast of Oman while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. This incident marks an escalation in maritime tensions in the region, as the tanker was carrying 11 Indian nationals. The attack comes amid Iranian accusations that the United States is inciting such incidents, with Iran releasing videos of the targeted tanker and accusing it of failing to comply with warnings. Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Guard announced that another vessel had struck a sea mine and had suspended navigation systems. Iran warns against disabling navigation systems for ships in the strait and accuses the U.S. of interfering in maritime traffic. Concerns are growing about the potential escalation of attacks and their impact on oil supplies, as Iran continues to monitor navigation activities in the Strait of Hormuz.
