Khalaf warns of siege threat to Rmeish and villages
Deputy Melhem Khalaf warned of the worsening situation in the towns of Rmeish, Dibl, and Ain Ebel. These border villages are under increasing pressure from Israeli occupation forces, which are expanding their presence and imposing strict restrictions, while also offering incentives and services to exploit the residents' needs and draw them toward Israeli territory. The decline in the Lebanese state's presence and the absence of basic living conditions are heightening both the security and humanitarian risks, with dangers of complete isolation and potential disconnection from Lebanon if international forces withdraw or security guarantees are lost. Khalaf called on authorities not to leave residents alone, warning that worsening conditions could jeopardize their connection to Lebanon and emphasizing the need to protect that bond.
