UK Prime Minister blames Revolutionary Guard for Fairfield attack
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham revealed that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was likely involved in plotting to target Fairford Air Base. The plan was prepared in Iran and possibly carried out under the direction of the Revolutionary Guard. The plot was uncovered when five British men were arrested near the base in September, amid suspicions of involvement in terrorist acts and bomb-related activities, although they were later released on bail. Burnham confirmed that the United Kingdom will take strong action to address the Iranian threats, utilizing sanctions powers and criminal network investigations, while Iran has rejected all allegations and accused Britain of malicious speculation.
