UK blames Iranian Guard for Fairford threat
Britain accused the Iranian Revolutionary Guard of being behind the threat targeting Fairford Air Force Base, used by the U.S. military. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak pointed out that the threat was almost certainly directed by Iran. London also recalled its Iranian ambassador and designated two Iranian nationals due to their involvement in hostile activities threatening external attacks or planning them. These statements come after the United States withdrew B-1 bombers from the base following the incident, amid escalating tensions with Iran.
