Kats opens probe near Lebanon border
An explosion near the northern border of Israel resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy and injured about 20 others. It is suspected to have been caused by unexploded ordnance from previous clashes at the border with Lebanon. The Israeli army has launched an investigation to determine the type of object that detonated and the circumstances of the incident. Initial investigations suggest that the explosion may have been caused by a bomb from a missile launched by Hezbollah during earlier border clashes. Rescue teams and helicopters have been dispatched to the site, and the final results of the investigation are ongoing to confirm the source and nature of the explosion.
