Labor Minister extends foreign worker deadline
Lebanese Minister of Labor Mohamed Haidar issued a decision to extend the validity of Resolution No. 157/1, issued on November 16, 2025, which facilitates the regularization of the status of undocumented foreign workers in accordance with the decree regulating foreign employment, until the end of 2026. This extension aims to provide a final opportunity for individuals wishing to regularize their status after increased demand and the closure of the previous deadline, while inspection campaigns continue against institutions and employers to correct violations within 15 days of notification. The decision includes submitting applications in person or by mail, emphasizing the necessity of rectifying violations within the specified period.
