Suspicious Packages Threaten US Authorities Ahead of Elections
Packages containing a mysterious powder were sent to the offices of secretaries in three U.S. states before the midterm elections, including Ohio, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Authorities were able to intercept some of these packages and confirmed that the contents are not dangerous. An investigation is ongoing to identify the sender and their motives. These incidents did not affect the conduct of the elections, which are scheduled for November 2026 and will include all House of Representatives seats, one-third of the Senate seats, and gubernatorial races in 36 states.
