FIFA Esports World Cup Finals Delayed
The International Federation of Football and the Saudi Electronic Sports Federation announced the postponement of the 2026 World Championship finals in Jeddah, scheduled between October 16 and 25, due to recent security attacks on Saudi Arabia. The decision was made after assessing the security situation and its impact on logistical arrangements, with further details expected to be announced later. The Japanese and Brazilian teams withdrew from participation due to security concerns. Additionally, other sporting events, such as the Six Kings tennis tournament, have been postponed as a result of these developments, while the Asian Golf Committee continues to monitor the situation ahead of the Saudi International in Riyadh.
