Mirayj Orel detained after Baniyas clash
Ali Kaili, best known as "Meraj Orel," the main suspect in the 2013 Banyas massacre, was arrested by Syrian security forces while attempting to escape across the border. Kaili had arrived in Tabqa city about 10 days ago to participate in fighting alongside the Syrian Army against the SDF. He was previously involved in targeting civilians, with the Banyas massacre resulting in the deaths of 264 people, including women and children, under harsh conditions. The arrest comes shortly after the detention of Kaili’s deputy, as part of ongoing security efforts to pursue those responsible for the massacre.
