Aoun urges Ruvio to Stop Attacks
Report on Lebanese President Michel Aoun's request to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to pressure Israel to cease its ongoing attacks on southern Lebanon and to adhere to the framework agreement signed between the two sides. During a telephone call, Aoun confirmed that the army and security forces continue to implement measures to combat smuggling and confiscate weapons, emphasizing that the judiciary is following up on all cases without hesitation, and that laws will be enforced on violators. He also called on the international community, especially the United States, to ensure that Israel respects the agreement and halts its attacks to maintain stability in the region.
