Education Ministry Explains School Consolidation
The Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that it is continuing its efforts with local authorities and parliamentary representatives to reorganize schools and secondary schools with small student populations or those unable to pay their rent, following the approval of the new rental law. Several schools have been relocated and merged, and teachers have been redistributed, along with initiatives to enhance the sustainability of public schools and reduce the financial burden on educational institutions. It was emphasized that these measures are aimed at restructuring rather than closing schools.
