Progress in electricity infrastructure development
During a press conference with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, Prime Minister Nohad Machnouk confirmed that Lebanon is approaching the rehabilitation and development of its electricity production infrastructure. This will be achieved through an integrated project based on the "BOT" model, in which Qatari entities will finance, implement, and operate the project without imposing any initial investment costs on the Lebanese treasury. The project aims to increase the stability and availability of electricity in Lebanon at a lower cost, supporting Lebanon's efforts to achieve sovereignty and stability. It is being developed amidst challenging financial conditions, while adhering to the highest standards of transparency and governance.
