Syrian Foreign Ministry on Ali Kayali's arrest

Syrian Interior Minister Anas Al-Khateab announced the arrest of Ali Kayali, known as "Meraj Oral," in an attempt to cross the border. He clarified that Kayali is responsible for the Massacres of Bayda and Ras al-Nab in Baniyas in 2013, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians, including women and children. This operation is part of the Syrian government's efforts to pursue those responsible for past crimes and to threaten stability. The arrest has received public support in the areas of Baniyas and Bayda, with calls for holding those involved accountable and achieving justice for the victims. The minister emphasized that justice will reach all those involved in the shedding of Syrian blood and that no criminal will escape punishment, affirming the government's continued pursuit of those involved in crimes and actions that threaten the country's security.
