France extends efforts in South Lebanon
The article discusses France's recent movements in the South Lebanon region following the end of the UNIFIL forces' deployment period. French sources have confirmed that Paris is seeking to ensure that risks in the area are minimized and stability is maintained through coordination with the Lebanese army. It also points out that international discussions regarding an alternative to the UNIFIL forces face complications, with Washington rejecting the establishment of a UN framework for the region so far. This situation threatens the future of South Lebanon and raises concerns about the escalation of tensions and the absence of stability if the security vacuum continues.
