Fly Dubai pilot describes attack and survival
A report mentioned that the pilot of Fly Dubai, who was assaulted during a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv at the end of September, recounted the details of the incident. He described an attempt to assist the Omani pilot in carrying out a suicide attack aimed at causing significant casualties at Ben Gurion Airport. He explained that the co-pilot tried to take control of the aircraft with an emergency axe and attacked the crew in an attempt to carry out the assault, before passengers and crew members managed to overpower him, leading to an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Investigations revealed that the 29-year-old co-pilot was planning to use the plane in a terrorist act inspired by the September 11 attacks.
