GCC urges Houthis to be labeled terrorists
The Gulf Cooperation Council calls for designating the Houthi group in Yemen as a "terrorist organization," in response to the presidential statement issued by the United Nations Security Council on October 15, 2026, which condemned the ongoing Houthi escalation against Saudi Arabia. It emphasizes the necessity of implementing Security Council resolutions and banning arms supplies to the Houthis, while reaffirming solidarity with Saudi Arabia and safeguarding the security of all member states, as any attack on any member is regarded as an attack on all in accordance with the mutual defense agreement.
