Support for increased armed forces in Greater Beirut
The statements focused on strengthening the presence of the armed forces in Greater Beirut to ensure the city's security and reassure citizens after nighttime gatherings that raised concern. The investigation into the explosives shipment confiscated in Dahr El Baidar was also pursued, with an emphasis on arresting all involved and presenting them to the judiciary. The call was for the highest interest of the country to take precedence over any other considerations, and for decisions regarding war and peace to remain within the authority of the state and its constitutional institutions.
