Tampa talks show no positive signs
The article discussed the direct negotiation round between Lebanon and Israel being held in Tampa, Florida. Official sources did not show any optimism regarding the outcomes, considering it a future attempt during the "dead time" before the Israeli elections scheduled in a week. The sources confirmed that international efforts, especially American, are focused on trying to stop Israel’s ongoing attacks on southern Lebanon, including airstrikes, destruction, and occupation. Despite the continuous Israeli military escalation, Israel has not made any tangible changes, insisting on maintaining its aggressive policies and refusing to withdraw from the southern Litani region. Expectations indicate that the Tampa negotiations will not make progress in halting the attacks or achieving an Israeli withdrawal, due to Israel’s refusal to compromise and its continued control over certain areas, amidst escalating regional and international tensions.
