Lebanese Forces demand Hezbollah dismantling
The decisions of the Lebanese Kataeb Party's Political Bureau focused on strengthening security and stability in Lebanon by taking measures to hold responsible those involved in the recent explosives cargo, and calling for its referral to the Judicial Council. It also urged the government to implement the decision to ban military activities by Hezbollah, seize weapons and explosives caches, and enforce the army's authority across the entire Lebanese territory to prevent the country from being drawn into new wars. The Political Bureau warned against the expanding illegal economy funded by Hezbollah, which poses a threat to Lebanese lives through smuggling and counterfeit medicines. It emphasized the need to end the state of war with Israel and to facilitate the return of refugees, in order to rebuild the affected areas.
