Qatar Mediates in Strait of Hormuz Crisis
Qatar continues its mediation efforts to resolve the Strait of Hormuz crisis, emphasizing that the mediator's mission involves challenges and also presents opportunities to open dialogue between the parties. Advisor Majid Al-Ansari pointed out that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran was an attempt to create space for discussions, but it collapsed due to the very nature of the ceasefire itself. He affirmed that mediation efforts are ongoing in cooperation with countries like Pakistan, despite the uncertainty surrounding developments in the negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
