Wettikoff's Role in Ending the War
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the talks conducted by American envoy Steve Wettekov with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Oslo were positive. He is now on his way to meet with Russian officials to negotiate a ceasefire in Ukraine. The American envoy proposes holding trilateral discussions involving Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Zelensky, and U.S. President Donald Trump, with the aim of reaching a peace plan and preventing escalation of the conflict. This comes as part of international efforts to achieve a decisive step toward ending the war that began in 2022.
