Aoun: Some colluding with foreign powers against Lebanon
The President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, emphasized that there are those collaborating with external forces against Lebanon from within. He pointed out that some parties are fueling sectarian and denominational tensions for personal interests, which complicates matters and hinders the resolution of crises. He highlighted that the goal of negotiations is to achieve the Israeli occupation's withdrawal from Lebanese territories, as well as the release of prisoners and the return of displaced persons, all while maintaining the stability and sovereignty of the state. He also reaffirmed that wars only end through negotiation and dialogue, and that those who misuse external influence to harm the homeland lose both the nation and the national interest.
