Munir Younes on Bank Reform Appeal Results
The article discussed the results of the constitutional challenge to the bank reform law in Lebanon, where Article 3 of the law was maintained as approved by the Parliament in 2025. This was done without adhering to the established international standards or mentioning the continuity of the banks' core functions and activities during the restructuring process. The author expressed criticism of this approach, warning of its negative impact on the banking sector, and raised questions about the banks' ability to continue during the restructuring and whether they might turn into "zombie" entities.
