Washington denies Gulf embassy evacuations
The U.S. State Department has confirmed that the evacuation of its non-essential staff and their family members in the region is limited to Saudi Arabia only, due to the Houthi escalation and attacks on vital and civilian facilities in the kingdom. The State Department spokesperson stated that reports about evacuations of U.S. embassies in Gulf countries are not accurate, and that the instructions only included Saudi Arabia following the targeting of airports and Saudi facilities, and do not extend to other Gulf states.
