Trump's administration deported nearly one million in 18 months
A report from the Migration Policy Institute research center reveals that during the first 18 months of President Donald Trump's second term, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security deported approximately one million people from the United States. It is noted that the actual number of deportees was 980,000, and only 20% of the deportations involved individuals with criminal convictions. Meanwhile, 71% of those deported after residing in the U.S. for two years or more were not criminally convicted. The report also indicates that deportation levels increased compared to the two presidencies of Joe Biden and Trump's first term. Trump's deportation measures aim to enhance national security.
