Global Warning: Major Website Vulnerability
Two serious security vulnerabilities have been discovered in the PHP programming language, which is used in approximately 70% of websites worldwide, including e-commerce stores, media platforms, and government sites. The vulnerabilities are identified as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, collectively known as "PHP 2 Shell." They allow attackers to execute remote code and take control of targeted servers. Early detection, made possible by advanced AI tools, has prompted a global response, prompting many website administrators to take urgent measures such as temporarily shutting down certain sites or restricting services to protect sensitive data from theft or total system compromise. While there have been no widespread attacks so far, the threat remains ongoing, especially with continued attempts to exploit these vulnerabilities on a large scale and warnings of potential theft of personal and financial information. This situation underscores the urgent need to update all outdated PHP systems immediately.
