Turkey school stabbing and building collapse; military moves to Saudi Arabia
On Thursday, Istanbul, Turkey, witnessed two stabbing incidents inside schools, resulting in two students being injured in each incident. These events come amid a recurring pattern of violence in schools, as a student stabbed his classmates with a knife at a high school in the Esenyurt area. The injured students were taken to the hospital after rescue teams intervened. Police detained the suspect student, and authorities are conducting investigations. These incidents follow another attack by a female student on female classmates with a knife at a different school, prompting Turkish authorities to launch criminal and administrative investigations. Additionally, rescue teams continue searching for residents trapped after a seven-story residential building collapsed in the Maltepe district, leaving two people dead and others injured. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collapse, amidst a rising number of construction-related incidents in the city.
