The United Nations Support Mission in Libya focused its efforts on strengthening security cooperation between the east and west of the country through a joint technical coordination team meeting on border security in Tripoli, with the participation of 45 officers from various regions. During the meeting, progress in implementing the two joint centers was discussed, along with confirmation of conducting joint field missions to secure the borders. This work follows a training course held from October 4 to 7, 2026, which focused on communication security and reporting, aiming to enhance the capacities of military and security institutions to collaborate and exchange information in the context of activating the centers and strengthening border security.
