A livestock farm in Suluq reported the deaths of around 70 animals and illness in nearly 30 others, amid suspicions of foot-and-mouth disease, though no official confirmation has been issued so far. Animal health teams collected samples and sent them to laboratories to determine the cause, while the relevant authorities denied rumors that 500 sheep had died. Reports of illness and livestock deaths also came from Brega, and the Agricultural Police called on government agencies to intervene to curb the spread of the disease and protect livestock.
