Dakhla regional leader to PAM
Ongoing negotiations are taking place between the leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party and the President of the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab regional council, Njaa El Khatat, to join the party. This comes as a result of his disagreements with the Independence Party and tensions with Hamdi Elkhlil, which could alter the political landscape in the Southern Provinces. This development followed his feeling of betrayal by the party's Secretary-General, Nizar Baraka, who had promised him a seat on the Executive Committee but then formed an alliance with Elkhlil, prompting Khatat to consider leaving the party.
