Moroccan Authorities Declare War on Gas Cylinders and Vehicles After Disbanding Daesh Cell

The authorities launched a wide-scale campaign to crack down on the use of domestic gas cylinders in cars in Agadir, aiming to reduce security and health risks associated with this phenomenon. The campaign resulted in the confiscation of 14 vehicles and the summons of their owners, in addition to investigations with mechanics and workshops suspected of installing illegal systems of this kind. These measures are part of efforts to address a potential terrorist threat after investigations revealed a plan to rig cars with bomb-making devices using gas cylinders.
