Flooding hits Sidi Hamad Marketarea
Imlil region in M'idaert Province experienced heavy rainfall that led to flash floods, flooding the Sidi Hmad and Al Maghni seasonal markets amidst challenging weather conditions. The rains caused water pooling and the accumulation of floodwaters, triggering a state of alert among residents and vendors, especially as the rainfall coincided with the seasonal festivities. The affected areas face difficulties in drainage and in preparing the spaces to host visitors and passersby. Authorities are awaiting preventive measures to ensure the safety of participants and the normal functioning of the markets. There remains an urgent need for on-the-ground monitoring to address flood risks, protect people's safety, and ensure the continuity of seasonal activities.
