FIFA praised Morocco’s growing presence in football, highlighting the under-15 national team, which won all five of its matches at the inaugural World Cup for this age group and its accompanying festival in Azerbaijan in 2026. Coach Karim Miftal said the tournament gave the players the chance to experience a range of footballing schools and playing styles, and that the eight-a-side format supports their technical and tactical development. FIFA also highlighted Morocco’s role as host of five consecutive editions of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup from 2025 to 2029, and its preparations to co-host the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal.
