Police Halt Village March in Aït Melloul
The authorities in the Azilal region warn against organizing a protest march that was previously planned by the local residents of the area’s villages, demanding improvements in infrastructure, the removal of isolation, and simplified building permit procedures. Amid police intervention to prevent the march, the authorities held a direct dialogue with the protesters and urged them to pursue their demands through legal channels, while awaiting the outcomes of upcoming consultations between the residents and the local authorities.
