Targese School fines olive press owner
The Primary Court in Targuist sentenced an olive oil mill owner to a fine of 1,000 dirhams. It also ordered him to pay a compensation of 500,000 dirhams to the Water Basin Agency, due to his dumping of toxic wastewater improperly into public waters. This caused water pollution and environmental damage. This case is part of the authorities' efforts to monitor liquid waste from olive oil mills and enforce laws to protect the environment during the olive harvesting season.
